Teams Decided at the 2025 Coggin 6th Grade Flag Football Draft
Coggin Elementary held its sixth annual 6th Grade Flag Football Draft on Tuesday, October 14. Parents joined their student-athletes in the gymnasium for the event coordinated by Coach Brandon Brown.
Brownwood Lions Head Football Coach Jeryl Brixey served as the guest speaker and encouraged the young players. “I know a lot of you guys have played football growing up, but really this is your first time in a Brownwood school being a Brownwood Lion,” said Coach Brixey. “I look forward to seeing you in our junior high and summer programs.”
As the draft round picks commenced, players were selected and called out by name to join their teammates at the table. After the final round, each team took turns getting photos with their teammates. The following team names were chosen by the players: The Longhorns, The Terminators, Ravens, The Scattaboos, and The Lions.
After playoffs, the two top teams will face off in the annual 6th Grade Flag Football Super Bowl later in the season.
